Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED at hire.
• At least 1 year of experience.
• Ability to communicate professionally with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs collection functions and financial assistance for payment methods
• Conducts interviews with patients and/or family members
• Collect and/or negotiate point of service payments or link to financial assistance programs
• Articulates information clearly to patients, guarantors, staff and vendors
• Conveys estimates of patient responsibility based on deductibles and co-pay designs
• Counsels patients regarding third-party coverage and billing procedures
