Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• State and federal background checks as applicable.
• Experience with patient registration systems is a plus.
• Basic understanding of medical insurance and billing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Obtains demographic/billing/insurance information from patients and enters it into registration/billing systems.
• May handle pre-certification and authorization tasks as needed.
• Prepares consent forms and ensures signatures for privacy and financial obligations.
• Collects deposits, co-pays, and patient payments; documents transactions.
• Balances daily receipts and assists with routine account follow-ups.
• Schedules, reschedules, or cancels patients per hospital workflows.
