Optum, in partnership with Allina Health, seeks a Patient Access Representative Associate to greet patients, collect demographic and insurance data, complete registration in the EMR, and guide patients to their appointments. This role supports financial counseling and eligibility verification, with a focus on accurate data capture and customer care.

The position requires 6+ months of service experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to work a biweekly rotating schedule.

Formación

• 6+ months of customer service experience in an office/hospital setting.
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work the following biweekly rotating schedule: Weeks 1 and 2 details as listed (biweekly rotating shifts).

Responsabilidades

• Greets and welcomes patient in person.
• Collects demographic and insurance information.
• Checks in and interviews patients to complete appropriate paperwork.
• Directs patient to their appointment or procedure.
• May assist in scheduling add-on appointments.
• Documents issues and resolutions in the electronic medical record.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits information for payers.
• Obtains cost information and explains it to patients.
• Collects co-pays or deductibles and explains financial assistance options.
• Screening and approving patients for financial assistance programs.
• Assists patients with the application process for financial assistance programs.
• Provides customer service for inbound and outbound calls.
• May mentor other staff as needed.
