Job summary

Optum is hiring a Patient Access Representative Associate in Minneapolis to greet patients, collect demographics and insurance information, and complete registration in the electronic medical record. The role requires 6+ months of healthcare customer service, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to work a biweekly rotating schedule from 3:30pm to 12:00am.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of customer service experience in healthcare, retail, call center, or related settings.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work day & evening hours, Monday - Friday for the first 3 weeks after hire in alignment with the training schedule.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patients in person.
• Collects demographic and insurance information.
• Checks in and interviews patients to complete paperwork.
• Directs patients to their appointment or procedure.
• Documents issues and resolutions in the EMR.
