Guidehouse seeks an adaptable Patient Access professional in Ventura, CA to support patient registration, insurance verification, and collections. You will collect demographic data, secure signatures, and explain financial responsibilities at the point of service.

The role requires up to 2 years in a hospital or clinical setting, with day shifts and rotating weekends. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, beneficial for a diverse patient population.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0-2 years experience in hospital, medical, clinical OR customer service environment preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provides excellent customer service to all individuals.
• Perform accurate registration, arrival, and check-in functions for patients.
• Collect necessary patient demographics and insurance information to ensure complete registration.
• Obtain patient signatures and information at arrival.
• Escalate complex registrations to experienced team members.
• Perform real-time insurance eligibility and benefits verification.
• Verify insurance benefits and explain financial requirements to patients; collect outstanding amounts.
• Perform collections and cashiering; refer patients to Financial Counseling as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with department requirements for hospital collection activities.
• Work shifts in hospital Emergency Admitting departments; 12-hour or 8-hour shifts with rotating holidays/weekends.
• Serve as preceptors/trainers and mentors for new associates.
