Guidehouse is seeking an Admitting Representative to join our hospital client team in Ventura, CA. You will register patients, verify insurance, collect signatures, and explain financial responsibilities at the point of service.

This role involves real-time eligibility checks and coordinating with Financial Counseling as needed. You’ll support inpatient and observation admissions, work day shifts with rotating weekends, and mentor new hires while delivering high-quality patient service in a

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.
• 0-2 years of experience in hospital, medical, clinical OR customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to all individuals.
• Register patients accurately and perform arrival/check-in functions.
• Collect patient demographics, insurance information, and signatures.
• Handle insurance eligibility and benefits verification in real time.
• Explain financial requirements and collect patient portions at the point of service.
• Perform collections and cashiering; refer to Financial Counseling when needed.
• Work assigned hospital Emergency Admitting shifts; rotating holidays and weekends.
• Serve as a mentor to new associates and orient new staff.
• Assist in inpatient and observation admission processes and documentation.
