Job summary

Tao Group Hospitality is seeking a dedicated line cook for our NYC venues. This role ensures timely meal preparation, oversees the cooking process, and maintains quality and consistency across all dishes. You will work across kitchen stations and follow FIFO and company standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to write, read, and verbally communicate.
• Must be able to move quickly.
• Must be able to push and lift up to 75 lbs with or without assistance.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate and accommodate the needs of the guests.
• Handle all allergy and/or dietary restrictions and modifications.
• Prepare all restaurant foods, hot and cold. Responsible for working in all aspects of food preparation.
• Accurately follow all orders from the POS system and/or expeditor.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of assigned station.
• Follow supervisor’s instructions and communicate with co-workers as a team member.
• Possess knowledge of assigned recipes and execute to company standards.
• Comply with health and sanitation standards.
• Communicate product needs to chefs and staff.
• Check cover counts and documents (BEOs/Fire Sheets).
• Set up station and perform opening/closing duties.
