Job summary

Sur La Table in Omaha, NE seeks a Chef Instructor, Pastry to lead hands-on pastry classes and share baking expertise with customers. You’ll guide learners, demonstrate techniques, and promote bakeware and decorating tools during sessions.

The ideal candidate has culinary training or equivalent experience, 1–2 years in a kitchen, and strong communication. This part-time in-store role supports our pastry program and customer education goals.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older at time of employment.
• A degree in culinary arts is preferred; extensive culinary experience may be substituted.
• 1–2 years of kitchen operations experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pastry and baking classes and provide personalized instruction.
• Drive sales of bakeware, mixers, and decorating tools during classes.
• Represent Sur La Table brand with educational and engaging experiences.
• Maintain kitchen setup, safety, and class quality throughout sessions.
