The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of kitchen ops, a culinary arts degree or equivalent experience, and a Food Manager Certification. Must be 21+ with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of employment.
• 1–2 years of kitchen operations experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• A degree in culinary arts is preferred; extensive culinary experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty.
• Drive class enrollment and retail sales through engaging pastry instruction and by promoting related kitchen products.
• Set up and breakdown of classes, prepare ingredients, and maintain clean workstations.
• Ensure food safety, inventory control, and compliance with regulations.
