Sur La Table is seeking a Pastry Chef Instructor to lead in-store pastry classes and deliver high-quality culinary experiences. You will advocate for baking education, drive class sign-ups and promote bakeware and decorating tools during demonstrations.

The role emphasizes sharing specialized pastry knowledge, guiding guests through hands-on instruction, and maintaining product expertise to support sales and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• A culinary arts degree is preferred; extensive culinary experience may substitute.
• 1–2 years of kitchen operations experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand by delivering memorable, educational pastry experiences.
• Lead pastry and baking classes, driving class enrollment and retail sales.
• Explain advanced pastry techniques in a clear, encouraging manner.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and participate in available training.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation compliance.
