Job summary

Sur La Table in-store Chef Instructor, Pastry leads pastry classes and shares baking expertise to inspire customers and boost sales. You will deliver hands-on instruction, follow recipes, and promote bakeware and decorating tools while upholding the company’s standards for service and quality.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of kitchen ops experience, a culinary arts background, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older and able to teach pastry classes.
• A degree in culinary arts is preferred; extensive experience may substitute.
• 1–2 years of kitchen operations experience and strong communication skills.
• Valid Food Manager Certification or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table brand by delivering memorable pastry experiences.
• Lead and teach pastry classes to drive class enrollments and product sales.
• Explain pastry techniques clearly while maintaining class quality and safety.
• Maintain current product knowledge and engage in available training.
