Job summary

Big Tex Trailer World in Vermont is seeking a parts and sales associate to support the dealership's parts and trailer sales.

You will greet customers, identify needs, process transactions with the cash register and MTF, and coordinate with service to meet job timelines.

The role requires a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and 3–5 years of commissioned sales; weekend work and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Commissioned sales experience (3–5 years) preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to work Monday–Saturday and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with service department to identify and order parts for service jobs.

Summary
Assist in maintaining all aspects of the sales department of the Dealership including all parts and trailer sales.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers at the parts counter with a friendly and knowledgeable demeanor.
• Utilize expertise to identify customer needs and recommend suitable parts.
• Process parts transaction accurately and efficiently (utilize cash register and My Trailer Force (MTF)).
• Answer inbound calls, makes outbound and follow up sales calls.
• Prepare sales paperwork and invoices.
• Receive and inspect incoming parts shipments.
• Maintain organized inventory and update stock levels.
• Place orders for parts to replenish stock, ensuring timely delivery.
• Keep current with industry trends and updates
• Monitor customer buying habits to adjust minimum and maximum stock levels.
• Conduct regular stock checks (cycle count) and collaborate with the team to prevent shortages.
• Address customer inquiries promptly and provide detailed information about parts.
• Offer exceptional customer service to enhance overall satisfaction.
• Assist customers in locating and ordering special or hard-to-find parts.
• Work closely with service department to identify and order parts required for service jobs.
• Coordinate efficiently to meet service job timelines.
• Assist in service scheduling.
• Assist in maintaining the general appearance and organization of the offices and facility.
  

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• May substitute three (3) years of commissioned sales experience
• Valid Drivers License
• 3-5 years commissioned sales experience preferred
• Must be able to work Monday – Saturday and overtime as needed
