Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer in Charlotte, NC to protect client properties and assist tenants and visitors with a professional security presence.

You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while delivering quality customer service and enforcing site procedures. This role emphasizes reliability, integrity, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of rail yard areas, buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access to the property, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain required logs and documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Report observations, incidents, property damage, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.
