Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer in Ashburn, VA to provide security, assist tenants, and maintain a visible, reassuring presence. Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Background checks and drug screening will be conducted as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and alarm or surveillance systems, documenting observations and reporting irregularities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and contact appropriate personnel or emergency responders when needed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications.
