Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Emergency Response Security Officer in Ashburn, VA. The role involves patrolling, monitoring access points, and maintaining a visible security presence to deter incidents.

You will deliver customer service and coordinate with site teams while following standardized procedures. The position requires a minimum of 6 months security-related experience, a high school diploma, and background/drug screens as applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check per laws; criminal histories reviewed.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology infrastructure location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery activity; verify credentials and maintain records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; communicate observations and elevate concerns per protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility, perimeter, access areas, and exterior grounds; report concerns and issues.
• Prepare reports and shift documentation related to incidents, patrols, access activity, and duties.
