Job summary

Washtenaw Community College is seeking a part-time Testing Center Proctor to administer testing and support exam security. This role includes proctoring GED, TEAS, CLEP, and other tests, supervising testing rooms, and ensuring adherence to center procedures on campus and at off-campus sites. Hours are 3:00 p.m.

to 8:00 p.m. Monday–Thursday with two Saturdays per month required; associate degree or equivalent experience is preferred and ability to work with AI-supported tools is valued.

Qualifications

• Must not be a current WCC student.
• Equivalent of two (2) years’ work experience.
• Ability to read and understand policies and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability using Microsoft Office Software and Windows XP operating system.

Responsibilities

• Proctor computerized and paper-based examinations according to directions and center procedures.
• Administer GED, TEAS, CLEP and other high-level secure tests.
• Invigilate testing rooms to prevent cheating and misconduct.
• Pass certification tests from outside agencies and renew annually.
• Administer placement testing on campus.
• Monitor testing activity to deter prohibited behavior.
• Assist Manager to create reports and package test documents for agencies.
• Coordinate with testing agencies and instructors on irregularities and examinee complaints.
• Administer testing at off-campus locations as needed.
• Attend training sessions as required.
• Utilize AI-enabled tools and other technology to support duties while maintaining confidentiality.
• Regular attendance on campus is required.
• Other duties as assigned.
