Job summary

Visionworks of America is seeking a Part-Time Onsite Telehealth Specialist (TS)/Optometric Assistant (Telehealth) to serve as the face of patient care during remote eye exams. You will assist with preliminary testing, maintain records, and guide patients from the exam to product recommendations.

Ideal candidates bring customer or patient service experience and an HS diploma or equivalent. Remote/hybrid options apply, with emphasis on exceptional, human-centered service and eye health knowledge.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience

Responsibilities

• Personally assist remote eye exam processes and act as liaison between patients and Telemedicine Remote Physicians
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs
