Job summary

Tecovas is seeking a part-time Team Lead to support store operations and create a premium in-store experience for boot buyers and western enthusiasts alike. You will lead a small team, manage product flow, and apply merchant and customer service skills to curate an exceptional shopping environment.

Responsibilities include recruiting, coaching, and maintaining standards across operations, with 15-20 hours per week and weekend/evening availability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail management experience.
• Must be available to work 15-20 hours per week.
• Exceptional leadership, selling, and customer service skills.
• Strong merchant skills and a history of delivering financial results.
• Proven record of hiring and developing great talent.
• Experienced in coaching, counseling & conflict resolution.
• Independent, proactive, results-driven work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, and retaining top talent.
• Supports the Store Manager in creating and maintaining a succession strategy.
• Foster a culture of strong communication and teamwork to balance operational, visual and customer priorities.
• Administers performance appraisals, sets goals and conducts regular check-ins with direct reports.
• Cultivates genuine customer connections and delivers extraordinary service.
• Ensures loss prevention practices and stock-to-sales processes are followed.
• Keeps store structure, floor plan, fixtures, and product placement optimized.
• Sets clear objectives to drive consistent store experience and standards.
