Job summary

South Bend Clinic is seeking a Part Time Weekend Switch Board Operator for hybrid/remote work. Primary duties include answering phones, directing calls, and handling basic patient scheduling questions.

Training onsite at the corporate office in Downers Grove for 4+ weeks, with remote option after training based on performance. The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, prior call center or medical scheduling experience is a plus, and familiarity with healthcare

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Previous call center and/or medical scheduling experience preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare terminology is a plus.
• Basic computer program and keyboard typing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Answering phones, directing calls, contacting providers, and handling basic patient scheduling questions.
• Follow HIPAA policies and procedures; support department policies.
• Paging of clinical staff and scheduling-related inquiries; verify and cancel appointments.
• Escalate clinical inquiries to appropriate physician site/department.
