Job summary

SCRI Oncology Partners, located in Nashville, TN, is seeking a remote Telephone Operator to be the welcoming voice of the practice. You will triage calls, relay messages, and connect patients and professionals with the appropriate department from a home-based office.

The role requires 2–3 years of operator experience in a medical setting and a high school diploma or equivalent. In-person training may be required locally, with some on-site meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of operator experience, preferably in a medical setting.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming calls courteously and connects callers to the correct extension.
• Takes and relays messages accurately and timely.
• Responds to emergency and urgent calls from patients promptly.
• Directs callers to clinical staff as needed.
• Performs triaging, transfers, and conference calls; reports malfunctions.
• Maintains a pleasant and helpful phone presence for callers.
• Opens and closes the switchboard at required times.
• Performs other clerical duties to support the department.
