Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Cincinnati seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with merchandising, staffing, opening and closing procedures, loss prevention, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment for customers and associates.

This role supports the Store Manager and helps drive sales, training, scheduling, and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Help supervise, train, and develop store associates and ensure a safe environment.
