Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team and help with store operations, customer service and team development. This role is based in Avon, OH and requires engaging with customers and guiding staff in a fast-paced retail environment.

Duties include assisting with day-to-day store activities, organizing merchandise, executing opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and maintaining a clean, safe store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling and climbing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal displays.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and clean, ensuring safety and neat presentation.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
