Job summary

Dollar Tree in Ohio seeks an Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You’ll assist with merchandise, staffing, and loss prevention, while ensuring a safe and welcoming shopping environment.

As part of a fast-paced retail team, you will train Store Associates, handle opening/closing procedures, and maintain organized stockrooms and displays to company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail is preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and handle physical duties.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Protect and secure all company assets including store cash
• Assist in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates
• Maintain a well-stocked, neat store and stockroom
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures and ensure compliance
• Other duties as assigned
