Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Westerville, OH. You will assist with daily tasks, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure a clean, well-stocked store.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, following corporate directives, maintaining fixtures, and protecting store assets. You will train and supervise store associates while upholding safety and a respectful environment for customers

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Follow corporate directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information requests and any additional communications
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling/cash deposits and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked, clean store and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe environment with professional interactions
• Keep store clean including bathrooms, floors, trash removal
• Other duties as assigned*
