Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily tasks, help customers, and ensure merchandise flows smoothly from delivery to sales floor while keeping seasonal areas intact.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, following corporate directives, maintaining displays and loss prevention, and coaching Store Associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and handle physical store duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged goods, payroll and scheduling records, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect store assets including cash and equipment.
• Adhere to safety policies and guide associates accordingly.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean: bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
