Job summary

Dollar Tree in Cincinnati seeks an Assistant Store Manager to assist with store operations, customer service and team development. You will help supervise daily functions, train associates, and ensure a welcoming shopping experience.

Part-time role requiring strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. You will work with leadership to maintain store standards, safety, and merchandising execution while ensuring excellent guest service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process all corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling/cash handling, and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures
• Support Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Ensure store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms, floors, and trash
• Other duties as assigned
