Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. In this role you will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure seasonal areas are well maintained.

You will participate in opening and closing procedures, support ordering, payroll records, loss prevention, and training of Store Associates. The position emphasizes a positive, safe work environment and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Store management experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking/standing
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers with questions or concerns
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Maintain store areas to company standards
• Assist in ordering merchandise and handling damaged goods
• Support payroll records, scheduling, and cash handling
• Assist in loss prevention and shrink control
• Train and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment
• Adhere to company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
