Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development.

The role involves assisting with daily store activities, handling customer inquiries with a positive attitude, organizing merchandise, and performing opening/closing procedures. The position requires strong communication and leadership skills, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a focus on safety and efficiency in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties including walking, standing, lifting and climbing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure store assets, including store cash; participate in loss prevention.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and record keeping (including payroll and scheduling).
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates under Store Manager guidance.
• Maintain clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
