Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, supervise staff, and help maintain a clean, safe shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drugstore environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for peak effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized.
• Protect and secure all store assets including cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and store policies; supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the store, bathrooms, and floors.
