Job summary

Sylvania is seeking an Elementary Paraeducator to work part-time, 184 days per year, 4 hours daily. This role does not include student instructional support and involves supervision in lunchroom, playground, and other common areas along with copy room duties.

Responsibilities include monitoring student activity, assisting staff, and performing related tasks as assigned. The position emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and the ability to handle basic technology tasks in a school setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be physically working in the building.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to work with technology and computers.
• Ability to work cooperatively with students and staff.
• Ability to supervise students and take direction.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance and complete assigned days.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Ability to perform responsibilities including data and people functions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise areas where students gather (hallways, classrooms, playgrounds, bus areas, lunchroom).
• Assist teachers/administration with copy room duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned (not instructional support).
