Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Paraeducator for secondary education to support teachers and students in high school and middle school settings. The role involves assisting in various departments, supervising in hallways and cafeterias, and helping with testing and study sessions.

Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or equivalent and must be able to work in the building. Lifting up to 25 pounds and comfort with using technology are required, with insurance benefits for positions of six or more

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be physically working in the building.
Good communications, interpersonal and recordkeeping skills.
Ability/desire to work with technology and computers.
Ability to supervise students
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assist and support students and teachers in specific departments.
Assist students individually or in groups with lesson assignments.
Support in Audio/Visual, Guidance, Hall/Cafeteria, In-School Suspension, Copy Room/Mailroom, Media Center, Study Hall, Behavior Support, Testing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
