Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Mansfield, CT is seeking a Sales Manager who will lead front-end and service operations to drive strong sales and an engaging customer experience. You will coach teams to deliver brand standards, manage POS and Self-Checkout, and oversee in-store programs, events, and omni-channel fulfillment.

With 3+ years of retail leadership, you will motivate staff, manage MOD coverage, and ensure operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail leadership experience.
• Strong customer service focus and coaching ability.
• Experience with POS and checkout workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach team to meet SOPs, standards, and store policies.
• Drive sales and service KPIs through customer-focused coaching.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership.
• Ensure accurate operation of POS and Self-Checkout systems.
• Oversee events such as Balloons, parties, and Loyalty programs.
• Promote protection plans and omni-channel services.
• Support Knit & Sew Shop and Cut Bar experiences.
• Coordinate BOPIS and Same Day Delivery execution.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and coaching.
• Strengthen Asset Protection to reduce shrink.
