Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an RN - Shift Lead I for a part-time, day-shift position at St James Hospital in Butte, MT. You will provide leadership and clinical expertise on your shift, coordinating unit resources to balance census and acuity while supporting staff and modeling professional practice.

The role requires a BSN, MT RN license, and BLS on hire; you may float within scope and participate in committees as needed, with on-call duties sometimes required and a focus on safe,

Qualifications

• BSN degree required within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
• Montana RN license required at time of hire.
• BLS certification on hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and/or provides direct patient care; supports staff in problem-solving related to patient/family concerns, physician concerns, risk management, safety, and hospital operations.
• Responds to patient emergencies and serves as charge or lead for disasters.
• Collaborates with staffing office to adjust staff numbers for census changes during the shift.
• Communicates with the incoming Charge Nurse about census, staffing, admissions, discharges, and patient information for assignments.
• Supports unit management in managing productivity, staffing, timekeeping, and coordinating unit activities.
• Participates in hospital committees as unit representative as needed.
• Promotes mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health; adheres to service behavior standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• May float to other departments within scope of competency; may be placed on-call during a regular shift.
• Location is St James Hospital; scheduled weekly hours listed; on-site requirements apply.

Education
