Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an RN - Shift Lead I for a part-time day shift at St James Hospital in Butte, MT. You will provide leadership and clinical expertise, supervise direct patient care, and coordinate unit resources to align staffing with census and acuity.

You will support staff, liaise with the Charge Nurse, participate in committees, and may float to other departments and be on-call as needed. Requires BSN within 4 years, Montana RN license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

BSN degree required within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License.
BLS Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

Supervises and/or provides direct patient care; supports staff in problem solving related to patient/family concerns, physician concerns, risk management, safety, and hospital operations.
Responds to patient emergencies as needed and leads during disasters.
Collaborates with staffing office to adjust staff for census changes during shifts.
Communicates with the oncoming Charge Nurse about census, staffing, admissions, discharges, and key patient information.
Supports unit management in productivity, staffing, timekeeping, and coordinating unit activities.
Participates in hospital committees as needed.
May float to other departments within competency; may be on-call during scheduled shifts.
Promotes Intermountain Health values and service standards.
