Job summary

Dollar Tree in Edwardsville, PA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities and help supervise and train Store Associates.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, merchandise transfers, payroll/scheduling, and loss prevention while maintaining clean, organized areas and promoting a positive shopping environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties as described

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure policy compliance by associates.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean, restocked, and presentable across all areas.
