Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Tarentum, PA. You will assist with daily activities, merchandise flow, and promotions, while helping train and supervise store associates.

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read operational directives and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain storefront fixtures and displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged items, and payroll/scheduling records.
• Maintain stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Enforce store policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff compliance.
• Support Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked, and presentable; manage trash and floors.
