Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development at our Edwardsville, IL location. The role focuses on assisting the Store Manager, supervising associates, merchandising, and ensuring policy compliance.

You will participate in opening/closing procedures, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention while maintaining a welcoming and safe shopping environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Able to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in merchandising and stocking from delivery to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Support payroll, scheduling, and cash handling tasks.
• Maintain store areas to company standards and secure assets.
• Help Train and develop Store Associates and maintain a safe environment.
