Job summary

Dollar Tree in Jenkintown, PA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and manage merchandise flow from delivery to floor while upholding store standards.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling tasks, and safeguarding assets, with a focus on a positive, safe environment and staff development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred/required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform related physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist with payroll, scheduling, and cash register deposits and receipts; support loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including store cash; follow all policies and safety guidelines.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders.
