Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a high-quality shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help keep the store clean and well-stocked.

The role requires ability to lift 30–50 lbs and strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills. Part-time position with duties including unloading shipments and maintaining safety and courtesy for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform repetitive lifting activities.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise as needed.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
