Job summary

Family Dollar is hiring a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions at the register, and maintain store cleanliness and stock levels.

Responsibilities include unloading merchandise, stocking, and ensuring a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff. Prior retail or service experience is preferred and lifting 30–50 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent movement including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues.
• Keep the store clean, including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
