Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. This part-time role involves assisting customers, handling transactions, stocking, and maintaining store cleanliness.

You will work in a fast-paced retail setting, requiring excellent customer service, strong communication, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. The position offers flexible hours and opportunities for growth within the store network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean, restocked, and presentable, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
