Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, manage sales transactions at the cash register, and help keep the store well-stocked and safe.

This role requires strong customer service, reliability, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. You will maintain cleanliness and work with a friendly, professional team to ensure smooth store operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail or similar environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent physical tasks.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks; stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
