Pearson is seeking part-time remote scorers to evaluate responses from Massachusetts teacher candidates. The role supports delivery of teacher licensure assessments, with emphasis on maintaining scoring standards and objectivity.

Qualified candidates may hold a teaching certification or be a current college faculty member in the subject area, with relevant experience in public schools or higher education settings. Remote work and flexible scheduling are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required in relevant subject area.
• Current teaching certification in the subject area and active/public school experience preferred.
• Alternative: college/university faculty member preparing candidates in the subject area.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions from Massachusetts teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in consensus scoring.
• Discuss bias types and strategies to reduce personal bias in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements, including passing a qualifying test.
