Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, and
  • Current teaching certification in the subject area applied for and active in public school with 2+ years’ experience in the service role in the subject area
  • Or college/university faculty experience preparing candidates in the subject area
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree and graduate student teaching courses in the subject area
  • Active or recently retired practitioners eligible to score

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate responses to test questions for Massachusetts teacher candidates
  • Internalize scoring standards and participate in consensus scoring
  • Recognize and discuss bias and apply strategies to reduce bias in scoring
  • Meet quality and productivity requirements including a qualifying test
  • Remote work with starting rate of $17.50 per hour
  • Working remotely
