Job summary

Pearson is seeking Associate, Scoring Services for remote work with Massachusetts subjects. The role involves evaluating responses, applying scoring standards, and collaborating with other scorers to ensure consistency.

Responsibilities include rating according to standards, maintaining confidentiality, and meeting quality targets. This position offers remote work with flexible scheduling; training is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required and current teaching certification in the subject area.
• Two or more years' recent public school teaching experience in the subject area.
• Or college/university faculty experience preparing candidates for the subject area.
• Or bachelor’s/master’s degree with active graduate teaching in the subject area.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by Massachusetts teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards and engage with scorers in consensus scoring.
• Recognize and discuss bias types and strategies to reduce bias in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements and pass a qualifying test before scoring.
• Rate of $17.50 per hour.
• Work remotely.
