Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in healthcare or referrals.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Outstanding phone etiquette.
• Understanding of HMOs, PPOs and Medicare.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Review referrals and determine need for consultations or tests.
• Coordinate with providers to arrange appointments.
• Schedule appointments and pre-visit requirements.
• Maintain accurate referral records and documentation.
• Inform patients about referral details including time and location.
• Verify patient insurance coverage for visits and tests.
• Address patient questions and concerns related to referrals.
• Other duties as assigned by Department Lead or Administration.
