Job summary

United Health Centers is seeking a Central Referrals Representative at our Fresno corporate location. The role handles coordination of outpatient referrals, testing orders, and patient communications with a focus on data integrity and timely service.

Experience in a health center setting and knowledge of scheduling/referral processing are preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; strong customer service and data entry skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 2 years of health center experience preferred.
• Knowledge of scheduling and referral processing is beneficial.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate referrals to specialty providers.
• Coordinate orders for outpatient testing.
• Schedule appointments and mail referral packets to patients’ homes.
• Answer incoming calls on a multi-line system and document in I2I.
• Provide outstanding customer service to patients and providers.
• Maintain accurate patient data and look up records per protocol.
