Responsibilities

• Verifies and secures authorizations/referrals for all visits prior to patient appointments.
• Coordinates outside referrals, appointments and authorizations for tests and services.
• Schedules and communicates with patients to ensure completion of referrals.
• Schedules follow-up appointments per physician orders.
• Tracks referrals to guarantee completion of outside testing and services.
• Supports front office operations to maintain patient throughput.
• Assists with chart prep, checkout, and scheduling future referrals.
• Uses professional communication with patients, physicians, and staff.
• Maintains positive relationships with outside referral sources and facilities.
