Job summary

CHR Community Health Resources, Inc. is seeking a part-time Recovery Support Specialist for Pathways OTP in Putnam, CT. The role supports clients' recovery goals, conducts assessments, builds individualized plans, and coordinates with treatment teams.

Typical hours are Mon-Sat 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, 20 hours per week, on-site. Qualifications include lived recovery experience, 2+ years in related work, and necessary certifications or eligibility within 6 months; valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Lived experience establishing and maintaining recovery from mental health or substance use condition(s).
• 2+ years working with identified populations; RSS preferred; must identify as a woman in recovery.
• Certification in recovery support or must obtain within 6 months of hire; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Identify and advocate clients' recovery goals.
• Inform and educate on recovery strategies using motivational interventions.
• Conduct program assessments and screens as indicated.
• Collaborate to create individualized, person-centered treatment plans.
• Provide skills teaching and crisis de-escalation as needed.
• Provide case management and connect to supports and resources.
• Maintain documentation per program standards.
