Job summary

BioLife, part of Takeda, seeks a plasma donor screener to support center operations in Mentor, OH. You will perform phlebotomy alongside donor screening, ensuring safety and quality in daily plasma collection activities.

Expect to work evenings, weekends and holidays with a 4–6 hour shift, 3+ days per week. Paid training starts on day one, with benefits and opportunities for growth described by the employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and stand for entire shift.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch and reach.
• Able to lift up to 5 lbs, occasionally up to 32 lbs and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination and depth perception.
• Glove wear for most tasks due to exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• 1+ year experience in a customer or patient facing role (helpful).

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors, ensuring donor safety.
• Screen donors and record vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use Donor Information System and coordinate donor charts and compensation.
• Identify opportunities for center process improvements per approved procedures.
• Cover donors across varied shifts including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
